Students honored for expressing positive actions

BELLEIAR – Two students were recently recognized for their strong character and work ethic at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Clearwater.
 
Naszaire Brown, a 3th grade at Belleair Elementary, and Tavaris Battle, a 4th grade at Sandy Lane Elementary, were presented a framed certificate of achievement, a medal and a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble.
 
Both were recognized for their academic excellence, achievements, strong character and work ethic.
 
Naszaire attended the event with her mother. She was described by her teacher as being very outgoing in her class and has been working closely with her teachers to achieve her academic goals.
 
Tavaris attended the event with his parents and his great grandmother. He received similar honors and accolades from his teachers.  He was described as a born leader.
 
The Rotary club meets each Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. at the Belleair Country Club in Belleair.
