INDIAN ROCKS BEACH —The Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach this month donated $2,000 to the Beach Art Center of Indian Rocks Beach to support its planned expansion of its 2014 Kreative Kids and Teens Summer Art Camp.

“Parents and grandparents have been asking us to expand our summer art camp,” center Executive Director Jo Ann Marianne said in a news release. “With the support from the Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach, we have hired additional art instructors and have doubled the number of art camps available to children and teens.”

“John Todia, former president of the Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach, had a special passion for the arts and music,” said Bruce Sobut, Rotary assistant district governor. “Supporting the Beach Art Center allows us to align with the mission of bringing creative art education opportunities to children beyond what they receive during the school year.”

New camps include “Drawing Composition” and “Introduction to Pottery” for teens, and adventurous art and pottery themes for children ages 5-13.

The Beach Art Center is at 1515 Bay Palm Blvd. For details, visit www.BeachArtCenter.org or call (727) 596-4331.
