Spring fling event to feature Manny Fresh

CLEARWATER — Hope Presbyterian Church, 1698 S. Belcher Road, will hold its first annual Family Spring Fling from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

The free event will feature music by disc jockey Manny Fresh of St. Petersburg. Crafts, games and treats will be available. The public is invited.

Sermon to focus on parable of blind man

CLEARWATER BEACH — “Was Blind, But Now I See” is the Rev. Herb Freitag's sermon title at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday, May 4, at Chapel-By-The-Sea Community Church, 54 Bay Esplanade.

Tenor Paul Sanders will sing the solo.

Last chance for prom dresses

SEMINOLE — The last day to select a dress for the current prom season from Belle of the Ball Inc., a nonprofit organization, is Saturday at the Seminole Mall, 11201 Park Blvd.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

This organization provides homecoming and prom dresses to in-need, low-income high school girls in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.

Christian women's club to host luncheon

CLEARWATER — The Clearwater Christian Women's Club will meet for a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 14 at Cove Cay Country Club, U.S. 19 and Haines Bayshore Boulevard.

Music will be by Lynette McMillin, and Beans About Cooking will give a demonstration. Inspirational speaker Jill Jackson will ask the question, “Can Cinderella marry Prince Charming and live happily ever after?”
