Clearwater Bombers gather for 6th annual reunion

Published:

CLEARWATER — Their home field was Jack Russell Stadium in Clearwater. In their heyday, the Clearwater Bombers won 10 Men’s World Fast Pitch Softball Championships.

On May 3, which had been proclaimed “Clearwater Bombers Day” by Clearwater Mayor George Cretekos, former players gathered at the Ross Norton Recreation and Aquatic Complex in Clearwater for their sixth annual reunion.

The event was held in conjunction with the Clearwater Historical Society’s annual spring fish fry. The society houses a collection of Bomber memorabilia at its Plumb House Museum, located at 1380 South Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. For information, visit www.facebook.com/ClearwaterHistoricalSociety.
