Organist to perform at Peace Memorial Presbyterian
CLEARWATER — Organist Tristan Rhodes will perform “Fire and Pipes,” a concert of compositions by Bach, Brahms, Handel and Haydn, plus 20th Century pieces from the French, English, Norwegian and American repertoire.
The 3 p.m. event Sunday is at Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church, 110 S. Fort Harrison Ave. at Pierce Street. A $5 minimum donation is requested.
Rhodes will play the church's four-manual Casavant pipe organ in a concert co-sponsored by the Clearwater Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
Rhodes attended Peabody Conservatory of Music and Westminster Choir College and received an artist diploma in conducting from the Internationale Akademie des Mozarteums, Salzburg, Austria under Herbert van Karajan. He has carved out a career as an instrumental and choral conductor, chamber musician, coach, composer, and solo pianist and organist. He recently relocated to the Tampa Bay area.

Music, sermon on tap at Chapel-By-The-Sea

Hope Presbyterian to host treasure trunk and rummage sale
CLEARWATER – The congregation of Hope Presbyterian Church, 1698 S. Belcher Rd, will host a neighborhood treasure trunk and rummage sale on Jan. 25 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Vendors interested in selling personal items during the parking lot treasure trunk sale are required to purchase a ticket ($10 in advance or $15 on the day of the event). Items can be sold from the trunk. Call the church office at (727) 531-3200 for more information. Sellers may keep the profits from the sale of personal items.
The congregation will also host their annual rummage sale that day at Hambley Hall. A variety of books, toys, house wares, furniture, holiday items, and electronics will be available. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the mission and ministries of Hope Church.
Hot dogs, snacks, treats, and beverages can also be purchased at a nominal fee.

Church men's club to hold annual yard sale
ISLAND ESTATES – St. Brendan Catholic Church's Navigator Men's Club will hold its eighth annual yard sale Feb. 8 and 9 in the church hall, 245 Dory Passage.
Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., while Sunday's sale is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Early bird time is 7:30 a.m. and costs $5.
Tools, electronics, books, clothes, sports items and home furnishings are among the items to be offered. Refreshments will be available.

ST. PETERSBURG – The Daughters of Penelope of St. Petersburg invites the public to a concert featuring the “Voices of Jazz” on Jan. 18 at the Doncedy Hall of St. Stefanos Church, 3600 76th Street N.
The 7 p.m. event will include ballroom dancing demonstrations, hors d'oeuvres and Greek desserts.
